I have graduated from National Technical University of Athens in 2003 and have received the Diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering. I have been a member of the Image, Video and Multimedia Systems Laboratory (IVML) since 2003, when I started my diploma thesis, followed by the pursue of my PhD under the supervision of Prof. Kollias, which was completed in November of 2009. Additionally, I have been a member of the IVA group since it's birth, working under the guidance of Dr. Avrithis.
My main research interests include segmentation and semantic annotation of images and video sequences, graph theory and fuzzy set theory with applications in image and video analysis, knowledge representation & technologies for multimedia analysis.
